Wooing on the Web

I was out with the girls recently where, of course, the conversation turned to dating and dudes. Okay, no big shocker there.

Anyway, one of my new friends grimaced as she emphatically stated she did not internet date. Her two horrible experiences were enough to convince her to shun wooing on the web.

Now I would guess she’s had plenty of dates in “real” life that have not worked out well. After all, she’s still single. So why doesn’t that keep her from dating all together? Why single out the web?

When you look for a job don’t you exhaust all possible avenues - the paper, friends you know, and networking through organizations?

Nowadays most people post resumes on the internet. So what that the internet didn’t get you a job the last time? It might be the ticket this time.

Yes, internet dating does have its own set of challenges. It’s truly a blind date in the beginning. You don’t know for sure what a person looks like. You are relying on their honesty and an accurate self assessment of who they are.

You can’t determine chemistry online either. That’s only truly confirmed in person. But the internet is a great starting place.

Let’s face it, it’s tough being single. If you’re a woman over 35, there are 10 million less men in your age bracket to choose from. That’s enough of a reason to use every means possible to find love if you’re serious about it.

When the heart’s involved we tend to be sensitive and reactive. We protect our heart from hurt more than we protect our money from the IRS.

If you want love, you need to use every arsenal at your disposal in the battle. It’s war baby & only the strong conquer.

Afterall, whether you find love online or in the grocery store line, it doesn’t matter. It’s the finding that counts.
